Sloe • Spicy notes. Subtle bitter herbal notes

Our award-winning English red vermouth has rich, delicious sloe and blackcurrant fruit flavours with caramel, eucalyptus notes and wormwood, and faint rosé and elderflower blossom. So it tastes like a slightly sweet, rich red wine with subtle herbal and spicy tones. Our Vermouth is best enjoyed over ice in a balloon glass, topped up with your desired tonic and garnished with a wheel of blood orange and stem of lemon thyme. In 2022, we were awarded a gold medal for our vermouth at the World Vermouth Awards

Our Vermouth

Our expert winemaker has developed distinctive flavour profiles for the vermouth, inspired by the nature in and around the Sussex estate, and botanicals found on the hedgerows surrounding the vines.

If you enjoy a negroni then treat yourself to this delicious vermouth – life is too short not to! I have ordered another 2 bottles and I know at least one neighbour is converted. I am now ruined for ordinary vermouth 😉

We came across Bolney Wine Estate when we were looking for a wine tasting experience. We saw the Vermouth on the website ordered some and went to pick it up. We have just enjoyed a few glasses with ice and tonic in the glorious weather we have had of late.

This is by far my favourite vermouth. I think it’s a waste to pair it with tonic. It’s too good to dilute. Just pour it over ice. Delicious

Luke Lally

I purchased this with the Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic. Served it ice cold and the taste was fresh and traditional. Made a lovely alternative to gin.

We have had a few bottles of the lovely Rosso Vermouth, we started by trying it with the recommended fever, since then we have tried different flavours of tonic with different fruit and lots of ice, it’s delicious on a hot day relaxing in the garden or inside on a full day as a lovely reminder of summer, it is English sunshine in a glass, wonderful flavours and aromas, wonderful!
