Tours and Tastings
1. How do I book onto a tour?
You can book online either by purchasing a tour directly or by redeeming a voucher. Select your preferred date and complete the booking process on our website.
2. Can children join the tours?
All tours are strictly 18+, and babies are not permitted to attend.
3. Are dogs allowed on tours?
For the safety and comfort of all visitors, dogs are not permitted on tours.
4. What should I do on the day of my tour?
Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your tour starts. You don’t need to bring your voucher or confirmation — just check in with a member of staff.
5. Will my tour go ahead if it rains?
Yes! Tours run rain or shine. Routes may be adjusted for safety and comfort. Umbrellas are available, but please bring weather-appropriate clothing. Extreme weather may result in rescheduling.
6. What should I wear on the vineyard tour?
We recommend visitors wear sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for walking outdoors.
7. How much walking is involved?
Expect around 10–15 minutes of walking, plus additional standing outdoors.
8. How much wine will we taste?
You’ll enjoy approximately half a bottle of wine per person on both the Bolney Wine Pairing Tour and the Bolney Experience Tour. Spittoons are available.
9. Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Vegetarian and vegan diets can be catered for. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and yeast-free options are not always possible, especially on Luxury Cream Tea Tours. Please contact us in advance.
10. Can I change or cancel my tour booking?
Date changes are free if made more than seven days in advance. Within seven days, a £10 administration fee per person applies. Please email our team: [email protected]
11. Can I leave my car overnight?
Yes. The estate gates lock at 6pm and reopen at 8.30am. Please inform your tour guide if you plan to leave your car.
Vouchers
1. Can I buy a vineyard tour voucher?
Yes. We offer eVouchers, sent instantly via email, or physical vouchers sent by post. You can purchase Bolney Wine Estate vouchers online.
2. How long are vouchers valid for?
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The tour must be attended before the expiry date.
3. Can I extend my voucher?
Yes, an extension plan is available for an administration fee.
4. How do I redeem a vineyard tour voucher?
Vouchers purchased through us or third-party suppliers can be redeemed online. Please check the supplier on your voucher. Follow our step-by-step voucher redemption process to confirm your booking. If you already know your preferred date, you can book directly without a voucher.
Estate & Event Visits
1. How do I book an event?
All events are listed on our website and can be booked directly online.
2. Can I buy vouchers for events?
Not currently. If you wish to gift an event experience, please get in touch with our events team.
3. Can I change an event date?
Most events are one-off dates and cannot be rescheduled.
4. What happens if an event is cancelled?
If ticket sales are low or unforeseen circumstances occur, we may move or cancel the event. We will inform you in advance and offer a full refund if you are unable to attend the new date.
5. Can I cancel my event booking?

6. Do you host private events?
Yes! You can book private events through our events team. We cater for both corporate and private groups, offering:

2. Is there a dress code for the restaurant?
No, casual attire is welcome.
3. Do you allow dogs in the restaurant?
Dogs are not allowed upstairs in the restaurant, but are welcome in our Café & Wine Bar.
4. Can I book a table on the balcony?
Balcony tables are not bookable due to weather exposure. If indoor tables are available on a nice day, we may move your table to the balcony.
5. What kind of food do you serve?
Our chefs create seasonal dishes inspired by the Sussex countryside, including breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. All meals pair beautifully with our award-winning Estate wines. See our restaurant page for the latest seasonal menus.

No, the Café & Wine Bar is walk-in only.
4. What kind of food do you serve?
Menus change daily and feature local, seasonal produce. Sweet and savoury options are available alongside Estate wines, by the glass or tasting flight.

- From London: Take the M23 south, then the A23 towards Brighton. Exit onto A272 east towards Haywards Heath/Bolney, then follow signs to the estate.
- From Brighton: Take the A23 north, exit onto A272 west towards Bolney. Follow the signs to the estate.
- By train: The nearest stations are Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill. Both are about a 15-minute taxi ride to Bolney Wine Estate.
- Parking: Free parking is available onsite.

Bolney Wine Estate is open Monday – Sunday, 9am – 5pm.
4. Is the estate wheelchair accessible?
The estate is partially accessible. There is a lift to the shop, restaurant, and tour areas. Vineyard tours take place on uneven ground, but there are no steps except for entering or exiting the building. Please contact us in advance to discuss your specific needs.
5. Are dogs allowed on the estate?
Dogs are not permitted on tours or in the upstairs restaurant, but they are welcome in the Café & Wine Bar and its terrace downstairs.
6. Can I bring children?
Children and babies are welcome in the café, restaurant, and shop. However, all vineyard tours are strictly 18+ and babies are not permitted for safety reasons.
7. Is there a dress code?
There is no strict dress code for visiting the estate, taking tours, or dining at the restaurant. Comfortable attire and suitable footwear for walking outdoors are recommended.

The estate covers 18 acres of English vineyards, with winemaking facilities, a restaurant, a café & wine bar, toilets, a shop, venue hire for meetings, conferences, weddings, or private parties, and free parking. Please note that there are no overnight accommodations or camping facilities on-site.

Yes, we sell spirits made at the Bolney Estate. These are English gin, sloe gin, vermouth, and Negroni.
