Passion fruit • Elderflower • Orange blossom

Lovely jasmine, elderflower and ripe grapefruit notes are at the forefront of this wine, followed by hints of nettle and freshly cut grass. A classic example of a Bacchus, this wine is easy drinking and a firm favourite.

Whole bunch pressed, cool-fermentation then took place in stainless steel tanks, ensuring the retention of the primary fruit aromas. A small percentage of the blend was in contact with the lees before blending and filtration.

Scallops with pea puree, steamed sea bass with lemongrass, Pad Thai, salt and pepper squid. A perfect pairing with mille-feuille and sweet pastry dishes

This wine is popular with our fans and our Bolney team and it is easy to see why when you try it for the first time. It has all the notes of a classic Bacchus wine, with a little twist on the palate with the hint of pineapple.

What a beautiful wine and it’s British. Paired with fish was outstanding. In a restaurant we visited in Lake Windermere this week. Hence the searching and purchasing more.

One of the best white wines I’ve tasted – who’d have thought England could produce such a thing? 5 stars.

This is probably the best bacchus I have enjoyed. It has enough body to drink on its own. I matched perfectly with spaghetti vongole and a simple grilled bream dish. Well worth the price and I would definitely buy wines from this supplier again.

Attended a tasting late last year in the Cotswolds (Broadway) – this outshone the Bubbly and the Pinot Gris by a big margin. As good as, if not better than, NZ/Australian whites in terms of nose, freshness, zing and sheer enjoyability, at this price point. Remember also that you’re not paying an importer a huge % of the bottle cost in order to get it here (i.e. more of your £ goes on the quality of the wine). Try it; if you like good quality quaffable white, this is a winner.

I was lucky enough to try this at a recent tasting. England has found a good alternative to sauvignon blanc with bacchus – this example has gooseberry and passionfruit flavours and a nice long finish. I’ll certainly try it again
