What's In The Case

Classic Cuvée

This is a fine, vintage sparkling wine made from the classic Champagne varietals – 70% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier. Delightful floral and brioche notes combine with zesty apple and citrus fruit, fresh and clean with a vibrant finish. Makes a great aperitif or serve with a starter of smoked salmon or smoked trout pâté.

Lychgate Red

Notes of red fruits and a hint of leather lead through to juicy plum and berry flavours together with soft tannins make this a very elegant easy drinking wine. Medium bodied dry red wine. Serve with a blue or goat’s cheese tart.

Winemaker's Edition

A well-balanced, medium-bodied red wine with smoky aromas, black pepper and dark cherry. The palate shows earthy notes complemented by blackberry and dark chocolate, offering a good tannic structure making it a perfect wine for ageing.

Estate Bacchus

This complex Bacchus marries classic elderflower and gooseberry, with savoury notes of white pepper and citrus undertones for a floral finish. This rounded vintage is ideal for ageing. Serve with white fish, or asparagus.

Pinot Gris

Medium-bodied and smooth, plenty of fresh pear along with citrus and honeysuckle. Fresh finish with some grassy notes. Serve with tiger prawns or sushi.

Blanc de Noirs

A very stylish vintage, traditional method, quality sparkling wine. Lots of stone fruit character, notes of honey and pear. A good balance of sweetness and acidity with a lovely length. Serve with a classic cheeseboard or cherry and dark chocolate marquise.

We haven’t actually had time (7 days!) to get through the entire winemaker’s selection but we know from previous experience that Bolney wines are excellent. We have tried the Pinot Gris, though, which lived up to expectations. Would thoroughly recommend
