Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • “Bolney Wine Club” means the single-tier wine club membership introduced from 2026.
  • “Membership” means a 12-month subscription to the Bolney Wine Club.
  • “Shipment” means each case of wine supplied under the Membership.
  • “opt out”, “skip” means the right to miss one shipment and payment within a rolling year.
  • “Membership Year” means 12 months from the date of joining or renewal.
  • “We”, “Us”, “Our” means the Company operating the Bolney Wine Club.
  • “You” means the Member.

 

2. Membership Structure

2.1 From 2026, all previous Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers are discontinued and replaced with a single-tier Membership known as the Bolney Wine Club.

2.2 The Bolney Wine Club provides:

  • Three Shipments per Membership Year;
  • Each Shipment containing six bottles;
  • A curated “Best of Bolney” selection in every case.

2.3 Shipments are selected by us and may vary according to availability and vintage. We reserve the right to substitute wines of equal or greater value where necessary.

2.4 On signing up, first shipment within membership is named ‘introductory case’, this is an additional case to the three scheduled shipments per year or replacement the first scheduled shipment if sign-up falls within 28 days of the planned shipment date.

 

3. Pricing & Payment

3.1 The Membership price is:

  • £175 per Shipment;
  • Total annual cost of £525 (three Shipments per year).

3.2 Payments will be taken approximately 72 hours before each Shipment is dispatched. Notification of shipment and payment will be communicated via email.

3.3 We may securely store your card details via our authorised payment processor for recurring payments.

3.4 Where prices are amended:

  • We will provide at least 30 days’ notice;
  • The change will apply from your next Membership Year;
  • You may cancel before the increase takes effect.
  • If payment fails, we may suspend Membership benefits until payment is received
  • Please note that, some banks require an additional authorisation process known as 3D Secure (3DS) for online payments using a credit or debit card. This requires you to authorise payment following a notification from your bank or we may need to contact you to arrange an alternative payment method. In order to avoid delay in shipments, we request that payments are authorised promptly.
  • Opting out of shipments. There is a limit to two opt outs per rolling year from the time of sign up. To do this, you need to call our Customer Services Team on 01444 711 722 with a minimum of 7 days’ notice prior to the next shipment. All member benefits will be paused with immediate effect until the member pays for their next shipment.

 

4. Membership Benefits [AMENDED FOR NEW BENEFITS]

As a Member of the Bolney Wine Club, you will receive:

4.1 A complimentary Bolney Experience Tour for two, redeemable during each Membership Year.

  • Advance booking is required.
  • Subject to availability.
  • Non-transferable and no cash alternative.
  • Complimentary tour must be redeemed within the 12 month period and cannot be rolled over into the following year.

4.2 A 15% discount on:

  • Bolney wines;
  • Bolney spirits;
  • Bolney tours and tastings.

Discounts apply:

  • Online at bolneywineestate.com (when logged into your account);
  • Onsite at our Vineyard Shop upon presentation of your Membership details.

4.3 A 10% discount on onsite dining at our Café and Restaurant.

  • Valid for up to four guests per booking.
  • Applies to the standard menu only unless otherwise stated.
  • Must notify staff at time of booking and present Membership confirmation.

4.4 Discounts do not apply to:

  • Selected events;
  • Third-party or non-Bolney products;
  • Monetary gift vouchers.

4.5 Benefits:

  • Are valid only during an active Membership;
  • Are non-transferable and non-refundable;
  • Expire at the end of each Membership Year if unused.

 

5. Membership Term & Renewal

5.1 Membership runs for 12 months from the date of joining.

5.2 Membership automatically renews for successive 12-month periods unless cancelled.

5.3 It is the member’s responsibility to ensure we have the latest up-to-date information held on file. Any address or card detail information changes must be made via wine club account on the website or by contacting customer services.

 

6. Cancellation

6.1 You may cancel your Membership at any time by providing at least 30 days’ notice via:

  • Phone;
  • Email; or
  • Your online account (where available).

6.2 If you cancel before receiving and paying for all three Shipments within a Membership Year and have redeemed your complimentary Bolney Experience Tour, we reserve the right to charge you the standard retail value of that experience.

6.3 Upon cancellation:

  • Future Shipments will not be dispatched;
  • Membership benefits will cease at the end of your notice period;
  • Any pre-booked benefits after cancellation may be withdrawn.
  • Membership card must be returned or destroyed.

 

7. Delivery

7.1 We deliver within mainland United Kingdom only.

7.2 Risk passes to you upon delivery.

7.3 If delivery is unsuccessful and returned to us, a £7.95 re-delivery charge will apply.

7.4 Age verification may be required at delivery.

 

8. Statutory Cooling-Off Rights

8.1 If you purchase Membership online or by phone, you have a statutory right to cancel within  14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

8.2 If wine has been dispatched within that period at your request:

  • You must return unopened bottles at your cost unless faulty;
  • Opened bottles cannot be returned unless defective.
  • Damaged bottles will not be accepted.

8.3 Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of returned goods.

 

9. Returns & Faulty Goods

9.1 We aim for complete satisfaction. If you experience issues, please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

9.2 Faulty, corked or damaged bottles will be replaced or refunded following investigation and return of bottle.

9.3 Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected.

 

10. Alcohol Compliance

10.1 Membership is available only to individuals aged 18 or over.

10.2 We reserve the right to refuse delivery where age verification is not satisfied.

10.3 We follow the Challenge 25 is a policy whereby anyone buying alcohol who appears to be below 25 is asked to provide an acceptable form of ID to verify their age

 

11. Termination by Us

We may terminate Membership immediately where:

  • Payment is outstanding;
  • These Terms are breached;
  • Benefits are misused;
  • Abusive or unlawful conduct occurs

 

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 Nothing limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • Fraud;
  • Any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12.2 Subject to the above, our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the previous 12 months.

12.3 We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

 

13. Data Protection

13.1 We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Payment details are handled by PCI-compliant third-party providers.
