Granit Blanc has notes of apricot and peach, typical of Viognier and the Roussanne grape adds minerality. The wine is balanced and structured, with a lot of depth.
Winemakers Notes
The vines of Granit Blanc were planted in 2004 on a hill facing north of the AOC Cornas area with a very decomposed granite, almost sand. The wine is a blend of 2/3 Viognier and 1/3 Roussanne. It cannot be called Cornas as AOC wines of this region cannot be white, hence being VdP.
Food Pairings
This wine is delicious as an aperitif as well as served with chicken, other white meats with cream and fish.
