Our Sussex Cheddar Cheese selection includes three cheeses from local dairies, which give a flavour of our range including Oak Smoked Mayfield, Woodside red, Sussex Charmer. It typically includes 180g-200g wedges of the following cheeses.
Oakfield Smoked Mayfield
Lightly cold smoked over oak, you can taste the original Mayfield cheese with a hint of smoke. This semi-hard cheese has a creamy, sweet and nutty taste. Aged for 5-7 months.
A creamy red cows cheese with a natural edible rind and made with vegetarian rennet. The flavour is gentle and mellow. Produced using pasteurised milk from Plumpton College’s herd of farm assured Holstein cows.
Made exclusively with milk from grass-fed, welfare assured cows in Rudgwick.
