The English translation of Svensk Rok – that is “Swedish Smoke” – tells you pretty much all you need to know about this 46.1% malt. The second in the limited edition range from Mackmyra, this smoky expression took home a silver medal at the 2019 International Spirits Challenge

Nose
Smoke, spiciness, oak, fruits and herbs. Notes of peat, juniper, toasted oak and vanilla followed by a smoky and spicy aroma with saltiness, minerals, tobacco leaves. Arrack treats, pear fudge, ginger and vanilla.

Palate
Peat, juniper, salt, definitively more smoky than what the nose is implying. A pleasant oaky spiciness with vanilla, toasted oak, pickled figs and pear fudge. The texture is medium thick with oaky chewy notes.

Finish
Spicy, smoky and oaky with notes of tar, tobacco leaves, bright notes of pickled figs and pear fudge.
